TORM’s Security and Audits’ team is looking for a dedicated and structured student assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to gain professional experience on how to support an international shipping company.

What TORM can offer  

You will be part of an international team which consists of dedicated colleagues from Denmark, India and the Philippines. Together, we are responsible for the day-to-day management, development and implementation of compliance, standards, inspections and security assessment for 80 product tanker vessels which support the One TORM platform.  

As student assistant, you will be working as an integrated member of the team and among other interesting tasks and projects, you will have the opportunity to:   

• Assist the Security and Audits’ team with relevant operational tasks  
• Support with security assessments, and advice the operational teams and crew accordingly  
• Prepare crew and vessel for entering high risk areas  
• Maintain and update various systems  
• Update various plans and reports  

 As the working environment is very important to us, we value bonding across departments. You can for example do cross-fit or yoga in TORM’s Sports Club, train in any fitness center or attend some of our cultural or social events, just to mention a few activities for our employees during the year. Furthermore, we have a fantastic office building located in Tuborg Havn with a great lunch scheme provided by Meyers Canteen.   

To succeed in the job 

You should be passionate about doing a great job and always act with your customers’ needs in mind. You are excited to learn and try new things, and you bring your ideas to the table. The ideal candidate is currently attending a maritime education for example as ships officer or marine engineering. Sailing experience is an advantage but not a requirement.   

Furthermore, you have/are: 

• Curious and eager to learn 
• Flexible and able to work in a fast-changing environment   
• An organized person with strong attention to detail 
• Fluent in English 
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
