For our EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) office in Brande, Denmark we are looking for a bright Structural Design Engineer to further enrich our Nacelle Analysis Team in Technology. The Nacelle Analysis Team which consists of highly dedicated and skilled mechanical and structural engineers is responsible for the structural and mechanical design of nacelles. The components and systems included are: yaw systems, bed frames, tower top flanges, canopies, rear end structures and platforms as well as stairs and ladders. What are my responsibilities? As a Structural Design Engineer you will be working with advanced FEA (Finite Element Analysis) of the nacelle structures. You will be working both on OEN (Operational Engineering) tasks as well as R&D tasks. Your stakeholders will be the departments Generator, Tower, Hub, Loads and Control, CAD designers, Service, Quality, Production and Test as well as the Project organization. Your assignments will include the following: · Advanced FEA. · Steel and cast iron components. · Loads and validation of nacelle structures. · Certifications. · Field data. · Outsourcing of FEA tasks to Siemens India. · Customer dialogues and presentations. What do I need to qualify for this job? · You hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have experience with FEA. · You possess high analytical skills together with a practical understanding. · As a person you are outgoing and proactive, and you possess the ability to work both independently and in teams. In addition, you are structured and innovative, and your approach to task solving is both technically and commercially viable. · You have good communication and English skills, both orally and in writing. · Preferably, you are interested in project management for future challenges and also in understanding prototype development, 3D designs and BoM structures. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
