Manufacturing and Sourcing, Electrical, Converters & Controls In Global Sourcing we lead and co-ordinate the Strategic Sourcing activities in cross-functional Category Teams consisting of key stakeholders from Group Quality, Product Engineering, Technology & Service Solutions, and Factory Logistics. Our key responsibilities are to… - Develop, communicate and implement global Category Strategies and Plans - Make supplier selection and ensure continuous development of preferred suppliers - Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers - Support new product development and drive cost out activities targeting BOM cost reductions - Improve agility of supply chain to support cash flow, Make-to-Order and general flexibility In Converters & Controls we work diligently to strengthen our ties to key stakeholders within our Category Teams to refine our approach on how to manage the entire life cycle cost of the products, and to deploy relevant best practices as the default way of working to ensure more consistency in terms of how we work together across the organization. This happens in a very fast paced environment characterized by a lot of development activities where the individual teams need to further enhance proactivity and control in making sure that cost performance is on track, supplier integration into development activities happens in a structured way, and that we design to cost in every way possible. Responsibilities: As the Sourcing Specialist for our control system you will play a key role in supporting the Category Director for Converters & Controls in development and implementation of a number of strategic initiatives. Among other things, the Sourcing Specialist will be performing and presenting key analysis to allow for swift and transparent decision-making in areas such as: •Make/Buy •Purchasing at higher BOM levels •Standardization & Modularization •Transfer of Technology / manufacturing footprint •Prioritization of cost out initiatives These activities will be carried out in close cooperation with other specialists and strategic purchasers on component level in both China and EU. As part of the daily activities you will also be negotiating contracts for select suppliers, conducting and facilitating development activities for our preferred suppliers, doing market analysis, creating cost development overviews at panel-level, executing & building up the pipeline of cost out ideas in close collaboration with members of our category teams. Qualifications: •You have a relevant educational background (preferably, commercial) on Bachelor or Master level. •We expect that you possess a high level of theoretical understanding in relevant areas e.g. Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, and have 5+ years of relevant work experience from a purchasing environment preferably within the EMS industry. •Alternatively, you have a relevant LV engineering background supplemented by education and practical experience within a relevant economic domain Competencies: •Fluent in business English both in writing and spoken •An experienced IT user, especially in Excel & Power Point (Microsoft Office), both preferably also in various ERP systems and associated applications. •Analytically strong and good at working in a structured manner as you are going to manage multiple tasks in a complex environment •Change-oriented and adaptive to organizational developments on corporate and departmental level •Extrovert and collaborative What we offer: We offer you an exciting and challenging job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development in an inspiring environment at the world's leading wind turbine producer.
