Are you an experienced software consultant with a wide, solid background in software design and process, especially within real-time embedded systems? And do you know how to pass on all your knowledge and offer the best training and coaching? Then you might be our new senior SW consultant. You will become part of a global team of SW development professionals working on variable speed drives. You will be located in Gråsten, Denmark that is the largest SW development site of Danfoss Power Electronics. However, as SW development is a global activity, approx. 21 travel days per year can be expected. Technical leadership and great influence In this position, you provide technical leadership in solving complex SW issues, and you influence decision-making and convince technical leaders on choices of SW. The main areas of responsibility include: •Designing software subsystems for new and existing products •Coaching developers and teaching advanced OO technologies to the R&D organisation •Evaluating the satisfaction of quality attributes for product platforms •Researching software technologies and methods for gaining competitive advantage •Managing collaboration projects with universities Theoretically and technically strong profile with communication skills You will be successful in this job, if you possess a strong theoretical and practical background within software design methods and have applied these in real projects. Experience in multiple domains of embedded systems has given you the required knowledge to make right choices on design options and technologies. Required characteristics include ability to design software systems using both component and object oriented approach, and you are a good communicator who can coach developers on the right approach for implementing design choices and technologies. Your communication skills gives you an ability to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds, as you will also work with our US, Indian and Chinese colleagues. We expect an MSc or PhD in computer science with significant practical experience in designing embedded software systems in multiple domains.
