Join us and become Senior Project Portfolio Manager in Business Improvement, a dedicated team within the operation and maintenance function of our Wind Power division. As our primary tasks, we prioritise, develop, and execute projects that transform our business strategy into tangible improvements for our offshore wind farms. Hereby, we reduce cost of energy and operational risks which will make offshore wind a key element to address the climate challenge for our modern society. Business Improvement is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in Denmark and Northern Europe in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will be responsible for the roll-out of a project and opportunity portfolio to scope and prioritise the right projects for our business, giving the projects optimum conditions for success. Your responsibility will cover the entire process from idea generation workshops through senior management prioritisation and follow-up on on-going projects. You key duties will be to: •facilitate idea generation, innovation management and scope ideas into specific project proposals •drive project prioritisation towards senior management •ensure management overview of on-going projects in the portfolio •communicate project and opportunity portfolio across the organisation •develop and continuously improve the governance framework around the project portfolio. From time to time, you may execute specific projects or work streams alongside your portfolio work. Your profile You hold a master’s degree in economics or engineering. You have extensive experience with project management and preferably also with project portfolio management (for example, several years in a similar position in the industry or from working with management consultancy). Further, you have expertise in strategy and business development, enabling you to scope the projects in clear alignment with the overall strategy. You must have strong analytical skills, enabling you to process information and scope projects. You have extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and possibly also SharePoint, supplemented by good communication skills which will help you convey knowledge to your business partners in a clear and professional way. You will drive the roll-out of the project and opportunity portfolio where you will need to give priority to team work and developing good relationships to ensure commitment from the line organisation. You have a structured and disciplined approach to your work and are prepared to work intensely during busy periods.
