We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Business Area Wind, Offshore, Engineering. If you are interested in a job with a lot of potential and possibilities and want to be a part of an organization with special focus on Renewables, you may be the person we are looking for.
The Engineering department is the technical know-how centre within Business Area Wind, setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects, both through the development and implementation phase as well as in operations.
You will be a part of the WTG System Engineering team within the Engineering department, working with colleagues located across various European locations. The preferred locations for this position are Kolding or Hamburg.
Your main responsibilities will be to bring expertise into the business in terms of wind turbine electrical systems and components, onshore and offshore cable systems, on- and offshore substations, consenting and construction issues for electrical plant, industry best practice.
Description of the position as Senior Electrical Engineer
To provide technical and project-based expertise into the business in range or electrical components of wind turbines, and wind farm systems including;
• HV Transformers (liquid, dry type, cooling, etc)
• HV switchgear (configuration, control relays, installation)
• Generators (Winding configuration, magnets, bearings, rating, cooling,etc)
• Converter systems
• WTG electrical protection philosophy (protection functions, relays settings, earthing, lightning protection, etc.)
• Internal turbine cable design, testing and installation in on- and offshore wind farms
• Contractors interface management during construction phase of electrical installations in on- and offshore wind farms
• Supporting the projects during the tendering process
• Preparing technical documentation
• Review of design documentation from suppliers and Contractors
• Supporting the organisation with technical expertise
Qualifications as Senior Electrical Engineer
• B.Sc. / M.Sc in Electrical engineering
• Significant experience in the wind industry (offshore wind preferable)
• Experience (+5 years) with electrical components within the WTG
• Practical and theoretical experience
• Experience with trouble-shooting within electrical components area
• Good English language skills and a plus if you also have good Danish/German language skills
• Flexible approach to travel

You are result-oriented and you organize and prioritize your work effectively meeting required deadlines.
