Welcome to the heart of the development of new Grundfos motors - a place where we offer you the opportunity to work in depth with design work or take a generalist approach with more responsibility on technical solutions on subsystems or system level. Join us for a chance to work with product development, following your work from start over frontloading to end production and see it reflected in our final state-of-the-art products. You become part of the Motor Mechanics department in Bjerringbro, situated in the Mechanical Development organization, where we are responsible for all new developments of motors and pumps in Grundfos, focusing on high tech, energy efficient designs. Our development is carried out in close cooperation with the Motor Technology department where the electrical design of the motor is done, and we master a variety of materials and production technologies. Working closely with the global development organization and production sites all over the world, we are characterised by an ambitious environment focusing on both results and the well-being of each employee. What is the job about? You will dedicate the majority of your time to development projects where you will be responsible for developing motor parts. Here, you take part in specific development projects working on design, simulation, review, verification and documentation of e.g. housings and rotating systems including shafts, rotors and bearings. High quality documentation of the work is an important part of your job. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with the global development organization and production sites all over the world, which will take you travelling up to 10 days per year. And in general, you will have many specialist touchpoints within Grundfos. A smaller part of your job revolves around supporting platform development to ensure that the necessary technologies are available for future projects. We also focus on process improvement, so in everything we do we want to get even better. Thus, you will constantly upgrade and share your knowledge, enabling you to work deeper into your field of expertise. What do you need to apply? You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and have solid experience working in project teams and on development projects, preferably in a global organization. You also have experience in 3D CAD modelling - we use Catia - as well as 2D drawings including GPS. And you have knowledge of materials such as composite, aluminum, steel, permanent magnets, and bearings. Moreover, you can work with finite element analysis and other simulation methods –we use Ansys. You speak and write English effortlessly. “On a personal level, you have great collaboration skills as you will be working with direct colleagues and other parts of the organisation. Being structured and conscientious, you ensure high-quality and timely deliverables, and you have the flexibility needed to support several projects at the same time and handle changes in the project portfolio,” explains Erik Haarbo Andersen, Manager at Motor Mechanics.
