Maersk Line Crewing is responsible for ensuring that over ’300 ML Vessels’ flying various Flags are always manned with competent crew while complying with various International regulations and Company procedures.

Crewing operations are run out of Singapore, Copenhagen and Mumbai while supported by Manning offices based in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, South Africa and Asia. 

You will contribute as a high-performing member of the team responsible for carrying out assigned operational duties and tasks in the function of Crewing Operations.

You will also drive regular process reviews and improvement in the Crew Operations process.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Crew Manager for Maersk Line you will based in Denmark.

You will be responsible for independent management of daily operational responsibilities pertaining to Crew Operations, including:

• Responsible for assignments of ‘Top 4’ Senior Officer’s for Maersk Line Fleet flying Various Flags

• Knowledge and understanding of the Crew Request requirements of Maersk Line Crewing

• Planning, organizing, and monitoring activities related to Crew Request requirements of Maersk Line with reference to the E2E Crewing Business Process Guide. Plan crew changes and coordinate with concerned parties for its effective implementation

• Work with Crew Operations team in other locations in ensuring that all Maersk Line Vessels are manned as per requirement

• Ensuring that all Crew Request requirements are delivered on time and only suitable crew holding complete, valid and original documents are embarked in compliance with the standards set forth by Maersk Line Crewing, as well as by the national and international statutory and mandatory rules and regulations governing the employment of crew to board ships under International Flags

• Promptly ensuring compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements, SOPs and Key Performance Indicators

• Implementing selection, embarkation, and disembarkation procedures as reflected in the SOPs and the Accountability Matrix

• Updating of crew documents in the official database system (MAPS)

• Performance of responsibilities and tasks in line with what constitutes as good performance as per agreed satisfactory performance standards and metrics (e.g. Objectives and Key Performance Indicators or KPIs)

• Process management, assist in ensuring that the agreed SOPs and guidelines are properly documented

•Process efficiency, driving and contributing to regular process reviews to increase the efficiency of the team

• Customer Satisfaction Service Delivery Improvement, providing progress of the activities performed

• Achieve customer satisfaction, reflecting in formal review channels such as the Customer Satis-faction Survey and Weekly Meetings/ Performance Review Meetings

• Ensure alignment with other strategic initiatives.

We are looking for

The ideal candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Business Studies/Administration/Management combined with preferably 6-8 years Experienced specializing in Manning/Crewing or equivalent.

You:

• Possess a strong natural drive for results, excellent stakeholder management skills

• Possess a proactive and positive attitude, enthusiasm and ability to cooperate in an always open and constructive manner

• Have the ability to plan and execute in a structured manner is critical to succeed in the position

• Will be required to mentor and support the junior members in the team

• Have the ability to interact in an international setting as well as communicating efficiently in English is critical

• Have good knowledge of Excel, Microsoft

• Are a strong team player, adaptable to change, comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated and enjoys delivering High performance.
