Join us and become Quantitative Analyst in Flexibility Solutions where you’ll be part of the team improving our trading results on balancing wind power through quantitative methods together with other analysts and traders.

Your key tasks will be to

develop and maintain models and tools that support our asset-backed trading operations, such as price forecasting or dispatch optimisation
valuate power contracts that are already in place, identify their key value drivers and come up with suggestions for how they could be further optimised
design, implement and improve proprietary trading strategies, both quantitative trades and decision-support models
support in collecting and processing data that will be used as input for modelling and valuation.

Your competences include that you

have a master’s degree or PhD in a highly numerical/quantitative field such as engineering, operational research, mathematics or finance
are skilled in several of the following fields: integer and convex optimisation, simulations, operational research, linear algebra, statistics and data analysis
have strong analytical capabilities and a flair for working with complex analytical challenges in order to grasp the relationships in data and how it ties in with the business
are able to program in Python or in a similar program with a willingness to learn Python and understand how to work with databases, especially SQL.

You should be a good team player, be able to communicate your results in simple terms and be structured and autonomous in your work. Knowledge of the UK or German short-term electricity market is an advantage.
