- Research & Development - Denmark - Gentofte Are you interested in cross-disciplinary project management with a focus on translational research and personalised medicine? If so, you could be our new colleague in the Research and Innovation Office at Steno Diabetes Center. We currently have one full-time Project Management position open starting In 2016. About the department The core activities of the Research and Innovation Office (RIO) at Steno include research and alliance management as well as strategic program and business development. The collaboration within RIO and researchers at Steno consists of expertise and knowledge related to academic collaboration, grant and project management, national and international partnering, as well as external financing. The job This position will require an effective and coherent professional administration of pre- and post- award research projects at Steno, including EU funded projects. In your role, you will also provide cross-disciplinary support to Steno related to - Project and budget management related to externally funded projects (including EU FP7/H2020), administration, and reporting - Optimising and implementing Steno’s core research procedures (including pre- and post- award processes) - Developing and tracking research and project performance metrics - Knowledge dissemination and outreach A key task will be to ensure the effective planning and execution of Steno Diabetes Center’s EU grant awards and executing research and administrative aspects of the awards received. You will also be preparing and providing input to publications about Steno Diabetes Center’s grant activities and research outcomes targeted to a broad range of stakeholders. You will work in close collaboration with the research and project management teams at Steno. You will continuously develop and improve project management and follow-up on the financial performance of the projects. The ongoing development of our project management toolbox and implementation of improvements in regards to daily project management is a key area and priority. The RIO department has a solid focus on deliverables and high performance is therefore an important part of our mind-set. To become successful in the job you need to be analytical, structured, proactive, and persistent, and you must have a convincing approach and a positive attitude. Qualifications You have a relevant academic background within medicine or in health sciences and have a minimum of 5-years’ experience in project and research management. Clinical research experience is an advantage. We also expect that you are able to communicate effectively and have experience managing and navigating large international consortium projects with effective, documented outcomes. You take natural leadership and you have good people skills. Employment conditions Your terms of employment will be according to relevant collective agreement.
