For our Onshore Project Procurement organization covering the regions EMEA and APAC (excl. China), we are looking for a Project Buyer / Project Commodity Manager. The Project Procurement organization consists of 15 employees divided into two departments: Project Commodity Management and Project Procurement Management. The two departments are responsible for all project-related procurement activities during project execution within region EMEA and APAC (excl. China). As a Project Commodity Manager, you will be joining a team of 7-8 members with the overall responsibility for optimizing our procurement activities in the areas of transportation, cranes and site installation. The majority of the team is located in Hamburg and we are looking to strengthen the Danish part of the team. You will report to the Team Lead of Project Commodity Management group. The job entails some travelling to our regional headquarters in Hamburg, Germany and to countries in EMEA where the projects are executed. Your main interface will be the Project Management including the Transportation Execution of region Northern Europe. The position will be located partly in Brande and partly in Ikast, Denmark and you should therefore expect to have both sites as your main place of work. What are my responsibilities? The Project Buyer / Project Commodity Manager will be responsible for the tendering and subcontracting of transportation services (sea and road transport), cranes and third party installation for portfolio of projects. This includes devising procurement strategy to contribute to project margins optimization. More specifically, your work assignments will cover: · Preparing vetting and assessments of sub-contractors. · Planning and handling tendering, procurement and negotiation processes. · Preparing contracts and procurement strategies for the projects. · Ensuring that the contents of the contracts comply with existing legal templates, insurance and HSE requirements. · Coordinating the team of experts/key stakeholders to support the procurement process. · Handling contract management tasks e.g., follow-up on claims, internal reporting. · Developing strategies for procurement of transportation, cranes and installation manpower (e.g. Procurement Frame Agreement). · Management reporting and cross functional decision preparation for awarding. · Subcontractors market intelligence. What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a university degree in Business Administration or similar with at least 5 years of work experience in the Procurement area, preferably, within transportation or construction. · You have good knowledge of procurement subcontracting practices. Alternatively you have extensive practical experience within the areas of transportation, cranes and site installation, combined with good analytical and commercial skills. · You thrive in a dynamic, international environment and have a good understanding of the general corporate business practices. · Furthermore, you are able to communicate at all levels of the organization. · As a person you possess strong negotiation and networking skills and are an impactful communicator. · You are able to influence suppliers and key stakeholders in the organization and are able to work in teams as well as independently. · Additionally, you are an experienced user of SAP and Microsoft Office, and you possess advanced English skills both orally and in writing. · As many of subcontractors are local Danish companies, Danish language is an advantage.
