Are you interested in a position where you get to impact the future product architecture in Vestas? If yes then you may be the Product Structure Lead we are looking for. Department: Vestas Technology & Service Solutions, Innovation and Architecture. To increase the focus on innovation and product architecture the department Innovation & Architecture was recently defined. The sub department Architecture Management plays the key role in defining and managing the top level product architecture throughout Vestas. Architecture Management has two main areas of responsibility: 1) Defining the Generic Modular Architecture and managing the product architecture per Platform owned by the Product Leads; 2) Developing all necessary tools, competences, processes etc. related to managing the Product Architecture through carefully defined interfaces. As Vestas is in a transition phase from a diverse, decentralized definition and administration of product architectures to a centralized administration with control based on a generic model, the tasks ahead are spanning as wide as the opportunities that lie within. This fundamental change in how Vestas is operating within product architectures will have impact on the entire Vestas Value Chain as well as the product development approach going forward. A challenging and upmost relevant task lies ahead of this new department and places the activities in the very heart of product development. Together with the Product Leads the department of Architecture Management will have influence throughout the company on both the product architecture and the methodology of how it is embedded. Responsibilities: •Definition and implementation of methods, guidelines and processes relating to managing overloaded Product structures in PDMLink - in close cooperation with PDM Support and other key stakeholders •Play a key role in the cross organizational roll out of the Product Configuration initiative into all products/platforms •Training and coaching of the operational level in the projects in terms of PDMLink application •Monitor and secure the compliance to defined methods •PDMLink Product data (Structure and Quality) responsibility on Product Level •Transfer architectural decisions through PDMLink to the projects •Participate in product change management planning •Accountable for Interface diagram administration •Transfer of the Product Variance Strategy into the PDM structure of our products •Involvement in Product Level related reviews and approvals of PDM data/BoM’s Qualifications: •Technical background e.g. Technical assistant with IT and documentation skills or B.E in Mechanical Engineering •Experience with ERP Systems •Project Management experience •Experience in PDMLink/Windchill Competencies: Professional skills: •Knowledge on Product data structure •Knowledge on BoM •Natural interest in ensuring data structure and integrity •Strong understanding of Product Data Management •Good presentation skills •Knowledge of Configuration management •Knowledge of CAD (large assembly management) Personal skills: •Proactive approach to engaging with various stakeholders throughout the organization •Good communicator •Proficient in English •methodical approach way of working •Leadership – will to change the organization •Persistent attitude What we offer: We offer you an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic work environment, where you will have the possibility to impact Vestas' future way of working.
