Are you ready to be the “protector” of our wind turbine blades?
For our Surface Treatment Team we are looking for a Process Engineer within Surface treatment, Coating & leading edge protection. Here the key is to develop new and improve our current leading edge protection and coating processes. This ensures a long lifetime of our wind turbine blades and you help protecting what matters.

Approximately 20 travel days a year are to be expected.

About the role

As a Process Engineer you will be working with development of new and improvement of existing coating and application processes for leading edge protection and coating. You will be testing new processes in small laboratory scale to full production scale.

You will be developing documentation for production processes (work instruction, P-FMEA and Risk assessments) and making risk mitigation in the process development and in production based on PFMEA & Risk assessments. Moreover, you will be:

• benchmarking application methods/levels in the industry
• Implementing new production processes at production plant
• Supporting production in fault finding, trouble shooting and recommendation of repair methods
• Support root cause analysis and production

About you

You hold a degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, composite engineering, material sciences or similar and have experience with coating or coating application processes or adhesive technologies. It is prefered to have knowledge in equipment and tooling eg. mixing units, spray equipment, automization and surface pretreatment techniques and an advantage if you have industry experience. 

You have a structured approach to your work and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing overview. You possess the ability to both work independently and in teams and you have great english skills both orally and in writing.

In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
