Contribute in optimising the execution of projects and programmes in Global IT
As Principal PMO Manager you are located in the PMO Department, which is a part of the Project & Portfolio Management (PPM). Currently PPM manages 93 projects organised in 12 Programmes – the vast majority is directly linked to LEO Pharma’s Business areas and are key to delivering on our 2025 Strategy. The environ-ment within PPM is characterised by ambition, high pace, pragmatism and the will to succeed through collab-oration. Last but not least, we care about each other and strive to have fun; particularly while being busy.
Besides PMO the PPM area consist of Programme Management, Project Management, Process Management, Organisational Change Management and Portfolio Management. PPM itself is one of four areas forming Global IT in LEO Pharma.
As Principal PMO Manager you are working in close collaboration with Programme- or Project Managers to ensure solid Planning, Reporting, Governance, RAID, Lessons Learned, Financial Management, Meeting struc-tures etc. This is done through problem identification and building concepts to mitigate, anchoring supportive processes, tools and templates and subsequently monitoring/supporting to ensure that concepts remain ef-fective. In short increasing the programme/project maturity; not by taking an academic and method heavy approach, but by creating impacts where it matters the most. As such your overall responsibilities are:
- Responsible for assessing the As Is maturity level within a Programme
- Responsible for designing the To Be (desired state) maturity level in collaboration with the Pro-gramme Manager
- Responsible for the aligning the PMO service level (Directive, Supportive, Controlling) for a Pro-gramme
- Responsible for creating and implementing the road map on how to get to the desired state
- Responsible for implementing processes, tools and templates according to roadmap
- Responsible for continuous improvement on methods, tools and templates ensuring that the toolbox mirrors the current maturity level
Your focus is on Processes whereas the Programme- and Project Manager focus on Deliverables.
Your qualifications
We expect you to bring a relevant academic background (BA, MSc or equivalent) and a minimum of five years of experience as Project- or PMO Manager on medium to large scale Programmes or Projects. You have a structured and analytical approach to solving problems and a talent for identifying pragmatic solutions. You are strong in communication, team- and relation building and provide tangible results. Last but not least you support knowledge sharing also by exposing yourself.
On a personal note you are curious (people, problems, yourself) and appreciate the need to understand be-fore advising. You are passionate and inspire people around you. You have a high level of integrity and com-municate respectfully. You are open and trustworthy and most important serve as a good role model.
