The NeuroResearcher is a key part of Neurons Inc's study process and performs all Fieldwork related preparations and data collection. This includes eye-tracking, brain scanning (EEG), surveys, interviews, and behavioral observations. The NeuroResearcher is a key part of the research team, as the role involves astute observations, detailed logging and documentation, and overall a strong scientific mindset and skills that are brought to the fieldwork. 

The NeuroResearcher is also sometimes called "Fieldwork Manager" as it involves the responsibility before and while being in field for execution of fieldwork. The research work includes ensuring the best possible data quality on eye-tracking and EEG recordings, interviews and surveys, as well as other study related observations that can provide research insights. The NeuroResearcher needs a scientific background, mindset and training 

The NeuroResearcher is always supported by the Project Manager, who is the person that “owns” the project and will be the go to person in case anything happens either before or during fieldwork. The NeuroResearcher travels all over the world and can have period with more than one month abroad. It can be in several different countries and together with the team of technicians following him/her. The below tasks are the main areas covered by this position:

• Learn and understand all fieldwork preparation and execution requirements 
• Make use of all necessary project management tools as employed by Neurons, including Monday.com and Google Drive 
• Understand everything about the equipment including all troubleshooting. 
• Follow a proposal, statement of work or study design report.  
• Regular and effective communication with the Project Manager and technicians. 

• Obtain information from the Project Manager (through documentations and meetings) and execute the needed requests. 
• Create, test and submit surveys/questionnaires. 
• Create, correct and test stimuli before studies.  
• Work with a team of NeuroResearchers while being in field 
• Follow protocols to the point and ensure timely delivery and relevant communications to all project group members. 

• Ensure detailed observations and complete logging and abstractJV_descriptions that adhere to the strictest possible scientific standards. 
• Ensure optimal data quality on a daily basis, including checking in with quality reports every day. 
• Ensure that all hardware and software is working properly, and is properly cleaned. 
• Ensure that all participant registration and signed documents are properly stored and registered. 
• Work on optimizing the Neurons study protocols and bringing more value to studies 

• Provide full notes and log files during studies, including Monday.com and Participant Sheets. 
• Creating fieldwork reports with high details and clear information. 
• Communicate with the client if he/she is visiting the fieldwork. 
• Manage recruitment for Danish and global studies. 
• Train new NeuroResearchers.  
• Support with everyday “dull” tasks at the office.  

Requirements

The following requirements need to be met:

• A Bachelor degree or higher within psychology, business, neuroscience, or related disciplines. 
• Prior research experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Great communication skills.
• Experience with working in smaller work groups and teams.
• Excellent PC skills, and ease of adopting new software and solutions.
• The right attitude: enthusiasm and dedication, energy, structured work routines, reliability, willingness and ability to travel globally for longer periods (1-8 weeks), a good sense of humour and excellent social skills.
• A keen attention to detail and structure.
• A scientific mindset, which ensures the best possible 
• A proven ability to work well under tight management and timelines – you have a sense of urgency in your work, and enjoy working under moderate pressure under tight deadlines.
• You will be a representative of a global research organisation.
