Plant Applications Plant Solutions is responsible for optimizing wind power plants. This ranges from selecting the right locations, ensuring correct integration to the power grid, controlling the power plants according to the environment and customer demands and optimizing service by diagnostic analysis. A key part of this is the Vestas Online SCADA products for controlling turbines, monitoring performance and collecting all relevant information from the turbines. The SCADA products are developed by Plant Applications which is the software development part of Plant Solutions. It is a department of 25 people located in Aarhus having development within SQL, SSIS, .Net, C++, server/client applications, Web tools, etc. We are working closely together in the team as the various applications are interlinked. Right now we are searching for an additional .Net developer to strengthen the department Responsibilities: The main responsibility is new development and maintenance of our SCADA system. There is a constant request for new features and functionality within the SCADA system since this is the central system of a wind power plant from which the customers and Vestas gets all information. The SCADA system consists of a number of modules used for controlling wind turbines, calculate performance measurements, collecting data, exporting data. You will be part of a SCRUM team with the purpose of maintaining and developing these modules. Maintain and develop Vestas SCADA system Solving urgent support tasks Participate in agile development using SCRUM Performance optimization of SCADA system Participate in test procedures Give input to prioritizations of new development Qualifications: You have a Master or Bachelor degree Experience with development within the .Net framework. Experience with working agile. Competencies: Personal skills: Proactive and self-dependent. You will help setting the right direction and drive the process to get there. Quality oriented. Quality is key since changes after roll out are very costly. Desire to work test-driven and agile Must work well in an environment with changing priorities and several tasks at the same time Intercultural team player. You will be working with colleagues from all over the world. Fluent in English – both in writing and spoken Technology skills: Experience in C#/.NET development C++ experience or desire to learn in order to maintain and integrate with existing systems Client/server applications Object oriented development Multi-tiered software Knowledge of relational databases and data access interfaces Knowledge of software development best practices and a drive to stay up-to-date with contemporary technologies Basic understanding of Web Services, Web applications.
