Metrology Technician for element qualification

Ever noticed the very precise shape of our products, allowing you to build using thousands of bricks and have them all fit each other like a glove? This is all thanks to our Element Qualification function, and you can be a part of this as our new metrology technician.

Be a guardian of quality

In our Element Qualification function in Billund, you will join a global team of 11, including 3 fellow metrology technicians and other specialists. Together, we are dedicated to securing the quality of the elements produced with the moulds, prior to releasing the moulds to our global production sites.

As metrology technician, you will provide the necessary results to evaluating each element by measuring and weighing the master samples that are produced from the moulds. These documented results provide an invaluable information for many stakeholders throughout the LEGO Group. These include the teams responsible for evaluation and final approval before the moulds are released into global production.

You will likewise communicate proactively with colleagues to understand how customers use our products and help tailor the measurement standards so they meet customer needs.

Do you know the ABCs of metrology?

Then you might be the right candidate for this job. More specifically, we are looking for a quality-oriented mindset, the drive to communicate with colleagues to ensure knowledge sharing across the teams as well as:

- 2+ years of experience with metrology, probably with abstractJV_titles such as metrologist, measurement or calibration technician, production technologist/engineer or the like

- Experience with using tools such as Vortex, micrometer screws, pins and microscopes and working with technical drawings and material interpretation

- Some technical understanding of plastic processing cast moulding or similar

- Fluent communication skills in English, allowing you to communicate with the global team and other LEGO® divisions

- Preferably, experience with SAP or similar tools – though it is not a prerequisite
