The Marine Control function is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Maersk Oil assets in connection with marine operations and for accommodation rig support in the Danish sector of the North Sea. We recognize that we need a person with your skills and competences to secure the continued successful work in the Marine Control group Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for seeing projects through from cradle to grave with particular focus on cost-efficiency. In doing so, you will be heavily involved in and use your experience within: • Contract management and tendering vessel and accommodation rig activities • Vessel inspection, vessel evaluations and auditing • Marine operations around our installations in the Danish Sector of the North Sea but also Marine operations in a broader perspective, when required. • Rig moves Who we are looking for You have an operational and pragmatic mind-set combined with hands-on experience. In the tendering process, you have personal integrity and the drive to ensure that you consistently get it your way and that projects are completed within the agreed time frame and budget. Moreover, you are a team player, and you are fluent in speaking and writing in English. You may not necessarily have an university level degree in a relevant field, but your experience could well be as relevant as your education. To succeed in this position, it is essential that you hold extensive experience in offshore marine operations and/or rig operation, ideally from e.g. jack-up operations as well as experience in the below areas: • Technical management of jack-up rigs or vessels • Jack-up rig operation • Rig moves • Dynamic positioning This position is placed in Esbjerg, Denmark. The majority of the job will be undertaken in our offices in Esbjerg but limited travel activity as well as offshore travel shall be expected. The position is available from 1 January 2015.
