We are looking for a Manager who has the drive, experience and skills to lead a team of highly skilled software developers and specialists. Technology & Service Solutions, Rotor, Tower & Control, Turbine Software, Generic Software Vestas Technology & Service Solutions is where new product ideas or technologies are matured, developed, tested and improved. To put it short, Vestas Technology & Service Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. We are shaping the future of modern energy. Turbine Software is responsible for the software solution embedded in all Vestas turbines. This includes the real-time communication backbone that ties all the distributed control nodes together, the real time operating system of the control nodes and the high level functionality that control and monitor all parts of the mechanical systems in the turbine. The Generic software team is responsible for the distributed turbine controller operating system, IO layer, fast real time communication channels and framework for turbine control implementation. We work and thrive in the embedded and real time C/C++ domain on the border between electronics and mechanical systems. The team is located in Aarhus and consists of 12 highly skilled software developers and specialists. Responsibilities: As Manager of the Generic Software team you will report to the Director of Turbine Software and be part of the Turbine Software leadership team. Your main responsibilities and tasks will be: Ensure high efficiency in the team by having the right competences and processes in place Manage internal and external stakeholders Ensure timely delivery to projects and customers work with the organization to ensure that we utilize the full potential of our control system Look ahead and make sure that we drive development for future turbine control system Build and maintain a competent and high performing team Employee coaching, developments and performance evaluation Qualifications: Your qualifications include: Master degree in relevant area i.e. Computer Science Minimum of 5 years of working experience working with software development Proven track record in management of complex software development Experience in the real time embedded systems machine control domain Competencies: Leadership in Vestas is about getting ahead, getting things done and getting along.
