Do you have the drive and innovative mindset to head the buildup of a new global department, focusing on further developing the service portfolio? At Service Wind Power in Brande we are experiencing a high growth in our aftersales products. In order to drive our portfolio to the next level we will further strengthen our innovation footprint by building up a dedicated global service R&D department headquartered in Brande. For this we are looking for a highly experienced leader profile with an outstanding technical background and knowledge of relevant technology domains for wind turbines. What are my responsibilities? As Head of the Service R&D department your primary tasks will cover: Executing the buildup of a global Service R&D organization Driving the innovation and technology roadmap for the organization Managing the global Service R&D to excel in product development and research projects Scouting the wind industry and other relevant industries for technology trends and driving a long term strategy of technology implementation Driving the collaboration with research partners from both academia and industry Getting input from and creating a strong collaboration with the regional field service organization as well as with the global competence centers Up to 20% of travelling activity is to be expected. What do I need to qualify for this job? You have +5 years of experience in working with wind turbines and therefore know about WTG and service technology both from a software and hardware perspective. You are experienced with research, product development and project management, demonstrating the ability to ensure development outcome in due time and high quality. You are an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing a global team of experienced engineers. Furthermore you can carry the responsibility of managing a multi-million R&D budget. You are persistent and persevering, but also able to facilitate and achieve consensus in difficult situations. You are used to work in an environment with high senior management exposure. As a person you are innovative, a strategic thinker and a great communicator who can collaborate and interact with people on all levels of a large an international organization. You are fluent in English both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
