Architecture & Integrations is a fairly new area within the Account Domain, so you will be one of the first persons taking on this responsibility. The first six months you will be responsible for establishing the implementation & governance for the Service Target Architecture, drive the road-map for the domain simplification initiatives to support the Core Banking Program (CBP) journey and establishing a well-functioning set-up for the first critical Nordic integration services delivered to one the change programmes. The position we offer The Account Domain (AD) organisation consists of six local deposit & loan customer account team in the Nordic countries. The Account Domain systems belong to Nordea’s core solution and the first functionality in the account systems were developed 30-40 year ago, covering basic account lifecycle management for household customers and automated end-of-day booking. From that point on more complex functionalities have been added in order to support account products to all customer segments – including cash pool products and structured (investment) products - and functionality to support on-line and self-service channels over time. Today Account Domain is responsible for around 13.5 million customer accounts and on a normal business day the systems handle 10 – 16 million transactions. It has recently been decided to replace the existing core banking systems to a standard core package from Temenos – T24. The change journey is driven by CBP and planned to take app. 5 years, including decommission the majority of the existing core / Account domain system. The plan is thereafter to merge the Account Domain with the organisation for the new core solution. During the change journey it is of highest important to secure operational stability within the existing account core system as well as supporting the transformation journey with in-depth competence of the existing landscape. In parallel it will also be of highest importance to continuously simplify the existing core to make the transition more secure. To support this journey, and in general supporting the consumers of account services, a first version of Account Domain Service Target Architect was approved early August. The key responsibility for the new head of Architecture & Integration is to outline the domain architecture roadmap to support the operational stability of the existing system, support the CBP and the Digitalisation journey. This also includes setting up the governance and continues update of the domain target architecture. In addition the new Head of Architecture & Integration is the driver of and Account Domain spokesperson in the different architectural governance groups in Nordea. Development and maintenance of the integration layer, Oracle Service Bus, also resides in the team, with the aim of having synergies between the integration strategy and integration implementation. The Architecture & Integration team consists currently of one Expert architect and three integration designers. The maintenance of the integration layer is sourced to India but reside under the responsibility of the manager for Architecture & Integration. As the manager for Architecture& Integration you will be working across the Nordic countries with both your own team and in a virtual organisation consisting of a number of local domain experts / architects. You will refer to the Head of the Account Domain and be part of Account Domain management team. You will also be a key player in solution design and implementation of the new service delivered by the domain. The role as manager for the Architecture & Integration will be Nordic, and to a large extend focus on Nordic interfaces. But the solutions must be designed in close cooperation with the local architects, who already today work in the six local teams.
