Are you a skilled Software Architect or an experienced Software Developer who wants to expand your role into working with architecture?  Would you like to take a central role in our platform development activities and be part of the skilled team that sets the overall direction of the new platform? Then join us for a chance to work on the platform that will go into future Grundfos products. Products that will have a direct impact on the world’s energy consumption and the distribution of clean water across the globe. Areas that will be major topics in the coming years.

You will be part of the Global Platform Governance team in Bjerringbro, Denmark. The team consists of 5 experienced colleagues who work closely with colleagues throughout the software development organization. An organization that spans both Denmark, India and China. Our task is to make sure that all teams work in a uniform manner across the areas of Requirements, Architecture, Test, Processes and Tools and that all teams contribute positively towards our platform and our goal of continuous delivery. 

What is the job about?

As the Lead Software Architect in the Global Platform Governance team, you will be responsible for:

• setting the direction in terms of the actual solution architecture
• defining the processes and ways we work in relations to software architecture
• coaching Team Architects throughout the software development organization. Both in terms of the actual solutions they work on and in terms of competency build up

You refer to Department Head, Allan Agerholm.

What do you need to apply?

You have a degree in Software Engineering, a Master of Science within Software, Computer Science or similar, combined with minimum 5 years of experience within embedded programming, and you wish to take on more responsibility in terms of software architecture for embedded platforms. You can understand complex technical problems and transform this knowledge into solutions. Preferably, you have experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery, and it is a plus if you have experience with global development and agile methods like Scrum. You speak and write fluent English.
