We have an opening for a position where we are looking for a junior Java engineer/developer to join our team. Ideally, you have technical experience or knowledge in development of web applications and preferably distributed backend systems. We are now looking for someone that is interested in developing him/her –self within our business critical Java development domain. You will initially be introduced to manage the support and operations of our built Message broker named Integration Manager to get a solid business understanding and technical foundation to continue your developer role within. You will be mentored and supported by our experts that have great experience of the system as well as long Java development experience. Integration Manager is our own high performing Service Bus that manages about 4M transactions per day and is very business critical for Nordea. •As a Java Engineer, you’ll be working with a small team of developers and IT specialists that are responsible for Integration Manager Service Bus/Message Broker. •Work in a scalable High Available infrastructure •Code primarily using Java •Work with Automation and Self Service Solutions •Involved in Technical Solution Architecture and Design •Be involved in daily Operations with root cause analysis on incidents •Act as Single Point Of Contact in support matters •Continuously improve our solutions and service performance by evaluating features and metrics. Main goal in the department The main goal for the department Integration and Automation is to create infrastructure and operation services for our IT Business units that supports them integrating with standard solutions, running their applications and transaction flows according to their needs and requirements as well as automating as much as possible. Automation is a principle in our service portfolio and we aim for self-service solutions when possible. One of the daily activities in our department is Integration of applications, message flows etc. to match our standard solutions e.g. Integration Manager. In Integration Manager the integration exist in developing and setting up new job flows that are customized for the specific need. The logic in the job could be anything from just transfer a message, reformat or enrich the content based on a condition, route between various technologies. The “job” that a flow in Integration Manager shall ensure is to transfer a transaction persistent to an end destination. Another goal for the department is to automate all our services. Therefore self-healing services and jobs are best practice when appropriate. As a support unit we shall always be updated on requirements from our IT Business Units and proactive work to provide valuable services which aligns with Nordea’s IT Strategy. Needed key competencies •Some Java experience •Knowledge about requirements and use cases •Some database knowledge •Understanding in Build Management, Source Control, Continuous Integration and automated deployment •Preferably experience using products as Maven, git, Jira, Jenkins, Bamboo and Nexus. •We see that you have some experience in java development and that you also have an interest in development and engineering and that you want to learn and try more. •You need to be able to work with given requirements in a structured way and document your work. •We see that you have some understanding and want to develop in setting up build and deployment sequences with standard tools and well as using versioning control systems. •Experience in JEE, preferably with Weblogic Server is a plus. •Experience in Troubleshooting and Tuning of java runtime environments is preferable but mostly we see that you are interested in developing in this area.
