About the department Product Supply - DFP Strategy & Planning Diabetes Finished Products is responsible for formulation, filling, inspection, assembly and packaging of insulin and GLP-1 products with production sites in China, Brazil, USA, France and Denmark. The DFP Strategy & Planning department is part of DFP Business Support delivering support to the global network. The department is responsible for driving the short, mid and long term strategy of Diabetes Finished Products creating transparency of global production performance, initiating optimization projects and setting the direction for over 5.000 employees. The department is furthermore in close collaboration with stakeholders in Product Supply and Diabetes Finished Products, responsible for driving the capacity planning processes - optimizing cost and delivery. The job You get the opportunity to join an international, high performing department, which consist of around 45 people. You will work closely with the DFP Business Support LEAN responsible person and will get the opportunity to develop and drive the implementation of LEAN initiatives within the department. You will have an impact on the daily work of the 45 employees of the department by driving projects aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of our work. You will need to apply LEAN tools in the daily work supporting the department’s LEAN mission of continuous improvements. In addition you will support the LEAN responsible person in coaching people within the LEAN methodology to improve the maturity of applied LEAN in the department. Qualifications We are looking for an intern with LEAN and change management knowledge that is passionate about initiating and driving innovative improvements in an international business context. You are structured and comfortable with managing your own time, projects and deliverables. Importantly, as a person you are outgoing with excellent and positive communication and people skills. You can convey your ideas in a persuasive way and show strong personal drive and dedication. Your innovative and creative mind-set provides new ideas on how to improve the work of our department. Currently, you are studying on your master’s degree in engineering, business/management or social sciences. Finally, you have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. Practicalities Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their master studies. Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.
