About the department
Global Market Access is a results-oriented team of 60 colleagues, responsible for obtaining, optimizing and defending access for patients to our innovative medicines. In close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, Global Market Access establishes the strategies and key support tactics in the areas of pricing, reimbursement, health economics & outcomes research, value communication, and subsequently supports implementation regionally and locally.
The job
This is an exciting opportunity to champion innovative contracting approaches within the Novo Nordisk organization, including Regions, Affiliates and Senior Management. Your role is to maximize the value of the Novo Nordisk portfolio by leading the team responsible for development of innovative pricing and contracting strategies, including new financial and clinical risk models. You will identify and drive sales contracts in multiple markets thus requiring strategic analytical capability and a high-level commitment to business ethics compliance. Also, you will lead the functional team and are responsible for development and implementation of the overall Novo Nordisk Innovative Contracting Strategy.
This role employs advanced knowledge of key global pricing & reimbursement systems to support affiliate development of new contracting mechanisms. You will develop and execute the Global Market Access strategy ensuring high quality and timely outputs are delivered from your functional team.
You represent the market access function and the Corporate Vice President within Novo Nordisk organization, ensuring that patient access is a prioritized corporate goal. You will report to the Corporate Vice President of Global Market Access and join a high performing management team responsible for access in therapies such as diabetes, obesity, and haemophilia.
Qualifications
Proven prior experience (7+ years) in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred while direct experience working within a Market Access pricing and contracting function is essential. Strong experience with US, European and/or international health care systems.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English on a professional level.
