As an HSSE Coach you are at the centre of our strategy to continuously pursue the highest standards of safety, efficiency and expertise in our operations globally. Our corporate HSSE function has recently been integrated into the Operations Department. The section consists of highly skilled HSSE professionals committed to safeguarding our prime goal – Zero Incidents! As we are now looking for a new colleague to the department’s offshore staff, this is your chance to make a global impact. During the first period of about eight months, you will be acting as maternity cover for one of our HSSE Advisors. This will be a great opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of our HSSE strategies, systems, processes and people. Key Responsibilities With reference to our Head of H&S & Coaches your primary objective is to support, advice and guide our operations globally on HSSE related matters. You assist in implementing local and global HSSE initiatives, as well as supporting and advising our operations on-site. In this role you will also lead investigations and be participating in coaching activities. Further, you solve a broad range of ad hoc tasks, e.g. you align our management system and local legislation. Overall, you ensure that the offshore operations abide by Maersk Drilling procedures. In the position you will generally work based on a 3 – 3 rotation, but flexibility is needed, as the rotation can vary. As HSSE Advisor maternity cover you will be part of the Health & Safety team which manage a large variety of tasks covering everything from strategic development, H&S processes, system development and implementation, campaigns, training materials, etc. As an HSSE Advisor you will be responsible for parts of these processes and systems, and you will run projects to develop new, or improve existing systems. Your key responsibility will be to provide daily support to the Deep Water Asset Team and the local HSSE functions. Who we are looking for Your educational background is secondary to your experience from a similar position within an international environment – preferably the drilling industry. You need to have a solid knowledge of both theoretical and practical HSSE, just as strong teaching skills are crucial in order to be successful in this position. Your command of English is excellent, and you possess great communication and social skills, which enable you to interact on different organizational levels. Last but not least, you need a valid offshore health and a HUET certificate or as a minimum a physique that enables you to obtain both. Please be aware that the maternity cover is a local position in Lyngby, Denmark. To gain the most from this position, you need to be present in the office most of the time in the initial period.
