With more than 100 employees in Copenhagen, the Corporate Procurement organisation manages around 25 billion DKK of external costs globally. We do this by building strategies and executing improvement projects to optimise the global spend related to, e.g. R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services and technology. To do this we collaborate with senior stakeholders at Senior Vice President level and their teams across the organisation. We work fact-based, are dedicated to collaborative problem solving and take active leadership for the initiatives we are involved in. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through coaching, frequent feedback, formal training and by giving a large responsibility to talented individuals. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the CFO. The job As Head of Professional Services and Travel you will identify business opportunities in our external cost base of ~6 billion DKK (across multiple industries such as insurances, pensions, credit cards, airlines, hotels, company cars, HR services, legal services and management consulting services), drive strategic projects to realise these opportunities and develop the unit and the 7-9 employees in the unit. In addition, you will play an active role in making sure that Corporate Procurement is among the highest performing procurement organisations in the global pharma industry. Taking on this responsibility requires the ability to: interact with multiple senior stakeholders (EVP and SVP-level) across Novo Nordisk interact with senior leadership for many of our large, international suppliers manage and develop a full team of business professionals make values-based decisions in line with Novo Nordisk’s values work fact-based with quantitative data while knowing when an estimate is enough communicate clearly when collaborating with senior stakeholders across the global organisation uphold high professional standards in deliverables In addition, the position is part of the Corporate Procurement Management team and is expected to help drive the overall performance of the area and of the global, dotted-line organisation. Qualifications We only hire the best. You have completed a Master's Degree (economics, business administration or supply chain management, or the like) with a top 15% GPA. You have at least 5 years of experience as either a management consultant from a top tier consultancy, or as a project manager with focus on strategy, business development or procurement in an organisation that is the best within its field. Preferably you already have leadership experience of a full team. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for you and your colleagues. You have worked internationally, can communicate clearly and concise and you are comfortable giving presentations to executive management. Finally, you work fluently in English.
