Group Financial Controller

Group Reporting sits in Hoersholm and is responsible for financial consolidation of the Chr. Hansen Group, global financial processes, financial compliance and management reporting. The team works closely together with other teams in Group Finance and share knowledge, targets and projects. Group Finance covers all areas of finance including internal and external financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, business partnering, group tax, group treasury, risk management and financial systems as well as our Nordic accounting team.  

The work environment is dynamic and requires flexibility during closing and in peak periods. Everyone in our team needs the ability to work independently with high attention to detail and at the same time be team players with shared tasks and responsibilities.

Your tasks
You will be part of a team of 5 dedicated financial specialists responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting to top management, internal- and external stakeholders. The team is process owner of several key finance processes such as preparation of external financial reporting on a quarterly and annual basis, including ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting policy and IFRS. 

The Group Financial Controller is responsible for financial reporting being done in accordance with group principles and ensure high level of financial compliance. You will be the expert on accounting issues and IFRS compliance, guide financial managers across the world and ensure cross-functional control and reporting of specific accounting areas.  

You will be driving implementation of new accounting standards, including optimization of reporting processes and maintaining the group accounting manual. In the position you can expect 10-15 traveling days per year in connection with conducting compliance visits in subsidiaries. On quarterly basis you will be involved in the reporting to the Audit Committee. You will also participate in more project-based activities such as M&A projects.

 

Your personal profile
You are most likely an experienced auditor with 3-5 years of relevant work experience from a position as financial controller. You have a strong knowledge of IFRS and probably holds a Master’s degree in accounting or auditing. 

Personally, you approach challenges in a structured and analytical way – you have attention to detail and yet applying a holistic mindset. You are a team player and enjoy interacting with colleagues at all levels and find it engaging to work internationally and with different cultures. You approach challenges with a can-do attitude and enjoy a working environment where challenges are solved analytically, structured with good sense of humor. 

English is the company langue, so you are excellent in speaking as well as in writing. In addition, you want to develop both personally and professionally. You are a specialist within Excel and PowerPoint while experience with SAP BW is preferable.
