To meet this demand, we are looking for new engineers for our Mechanical Engineering Department. We offer a position that will allow you to perform a wide range of tasks within the field of mechanical engineering. You will be involved in multiple interdisciplinary project groups and will acquire a broad technical knowledge. The job involves regular contact with colleagues in affiliated offices around the world and our international suppliers and clients. Assignments abroad in connection with engineering as well as inspection and installation of process equipment is part of the job. Approximately 30-50 days of travel a year can be expected. The department consists of approximately 50 colleagues - mainly mechanical engineers and technicians (both experienced and newly graduated). We are ambitious in achieving our goals and make solutions that contribute to solving global challenges within energy, environment, food and climate. We use design tools such as: AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, Intergraph SmartPlant 3D, PV-Elite. Most of our design work is based on international codes and standards such as ASME VIII, Div. 1 & 2, EN 13445 and EN 12953. The job offers many opportunities and personal career paths: participation in development of equipment/plant layout, working as mechanical engineer in our catalyst factories, technical service engineer, project management or sales engineer/manager. Additionally, we offer relevant education within the company or from external providers. To secure a solid basic knowledge, younger employees will be assigned to a mentor. Your responsibilities •Participate in maintenance and development of our proprietary equipment design •Design process plant layout and piping •Participate in multidisciplinary projects from start to finish - from plant design to start of production •Responsible for mechanical design and preparation of technical documentation for procurement •Supervise engineering carried out by others •Inspect and quality control at manufacturers’ workshops •Supervise site construction of process equipment and piping. You •Are generally interested in the traditional mechanical disciplines such as metallic materials, solid mechanics, welding and design •Are co-operative, open-minded and prepared to work in a technical environment •Are internationally oriented and interested in working globally. Qualifications You are a qualified mechanical engineer. Excellent English skills, both spoken and written, is a requirement. We are looking for both newly graduated and experienced candidates. We will also welcome your application if you will be completing your education within the next six months. Knowledge of the above-mentioned codes and standards is considered an advantage but not a requirement.
