Ramboll is looking for a Director to head up the Business Applications area which consist of a global team of approximately 50 skilled and engaged professionals in total. You will report directly to the Head of IT and be part of the IT leadership team.

Recently, all application management units have been brought together in the Business Applications area. As the first Director of this area, you will bring the new organization together, making sure that Business Applications is a strong partner to the Ramboll business units. You will lead strong global teams ensuring both staff engagement and continuous skill and capacity development.

With a strong business-oriented, forward-thinking mindset, your main responsibility will be deliver application services according to our agreed SLAs and business expectations, ensuring both functionality and availability. Together with the business partners you will help define the strategic direction of Ramboll business applications, related architecture and processes.

Based on this, we expect you to:

• Be responsible for the continuous Application Life Cycle management, incl. development, implementation and support
• Manage stakeholders and work at both a strategic and tactical level to continuously develop and improve Application Management within Ramboll
• Develop and attract talented people, ensuring strong delivery and staff engagement
• Ensure continued process improvements, ensuring efficient operations based on sharing of best practices
• Be part of the IT leadership team and be part of developing Ramboll IT in to a digital enabler

The Business Applications area manages all Ramboll group applications, including our ERP platform Maconomy and associated finance management applications, multiple SharePoint solutions, ServiceNow as well as BI/Analytics tools.

About you
You are a passionate about Ramboll’s digital future, highly skilled in Application management, and have a global and collaborative mindset, enabling you to develop, implement and drive the business application agenda.

You have worked more than 10 years with management in large IT organisations and are well versed in many technologies. You have a strong understanding of ITIL and/or similar service management methodologies. You hold a master’s degree, probably in Engineering, Computer Science or similar.

You are an experienced people manager, having managed smaller and larger teams for at least 5 years, preferably in a global setting. You are recognised as an inspiring leader, who create clarity and purpose for your staff.  You work professionally with capacity management and skill management.

Your business colleagues see you as their preferred partner, focusing on creating value for the business. Ability to un understand and deliver on local business requirements and a demonstrated ability to work as leader in a matrix organisation are key requirements to be successful in this role.

You have strong international and cultural awareness and can consistently lead by example while acting with integrity, impartiality and independence, and applying sound personal judgment in all interactions.
