We are looking for a Commercial Platform Manager for our D3 Platform within Product Life Cycle Management & Global Engineering department. Onshore PLM & Engineering is a newly established function within Market Unit Onshore of the Wind Power division, with the target to ensure product competiveness on behalf of Market Unit Onshore. Core focus is on product development, product cost out and value engineering. If you have a strong commercial background and want to have a real impact on the future development of the Siemens Onshore Business, this is the job for you! In the position you will have the opportunity to apply your commercial skill set and background within an increasingly important PLM department to ensure the right decision base for Senior Management. You will be operating across all departments in a highly dynamic and international environment. What are my responsibilities? Derive and deploy product cost targets based on market price development for D3 Platform Drive Product Cost Out Program, D3 Platform Drive commercial decision base for New Product Development, D3 Platform Ensure Commercial Monitoring during Product Development Process (PDP) Scope, size and monitor Onshore R&D Budget Consolidate and maintain Product Business Value Calculations Ad hoc support to Onshore budgeting and strategic planning What do I need to qualify for this job? You hold a Masters degree within Finance or Economy You have +5 years of relevant experience from a larger international manufacturing company Preferably, you have a strong background in Sales / Sales front-end and/or background within the operational business e.g. SCM As a person you are proactive, self-driven and persistent. You have strong analytical skills to transform complex and cross functional topics into a firm decision base for the company You are able to structure and present complex business topics in an precise and condensed way towards upper management and key stakeholders You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
