Then join the Building Services (BS) department. For many years, we have been an important part of Grundfos’ core business and are now expanding activities by bringing new solutions to the market. Thus, we are building a new team to serve market needs outside or adjacent to the normal core business. We work with a global perspective by defining strategies and portfolios to serve the domestic and commercial building markets and operating in close cooperation with a wide range of functions in the Grundfos matrix structure. You refer to Head of Application Development, René Bergqvist. ”In the team, we each work on what we are good at, developing our competencies each day. We want to be close to the customers, talking to them to understand their wishes. We spar with each other to test new ideas, and we try to be creative and think outside the box,” René explains. What is the job about? The key elements in your job are to identify opportunities, gain customer insights, ensure business modelling and change management to bring more complex (evolutionary or radical) offerings to the market through learning and incubation loops. In doing so, you build on top or implement new business models to realise the potential of these new activities. This is all done in close cooperation with the sales and technical organisations, and the job includes a major entrepreneurial task in a complex setting. The position will take you travelling 40-50 days to find relevant partners, identify market opportunities and set up business models. “The challenge is to ensure change management in Grundfos and it requires persistency, a good overview and the ability to put your understanding of ‘new business’ into a legacy business perspective,” René says. What do you need to apply? You have a commercial Master Degree or a high level of practical experience as well as a 10+ years` business experience from a similar position. Additionally, you have a technical understanding and experience from a sales company. It is an advantage if you have international experience and experience in start-ups. Your English is at a high level both verbally and in writing. “As a person you thrive in an outgoing role creating networks and partnerships with many different people. You have a commercial mind-set and a keen interest in new technologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enable you to share knowledge with our companies all over the world. And you make things happen to provide value for our customers and attractive businesses for Grundfos,” René finishes.
