Business Analyst to drive analysis and development tasks

Would you like to take part in the growth of our brand-new ‘Energy-as-a-Service’ business area where we serve industrial customers with innovative and green energy solutions?   

Join us and become Business Analyst in our international Energy-as-a-Service team where you’ll be responsible for analysing the viability of decentral energy solution projects, developing commercial structures solving the customer’s energy problems and assessing risks in energy solutions.  

Your key tasks will be to 

• analyse financials and risks in decentral energy solution projects from a business perspective 
• work as an integrated part of a sales team, ever constantly looking to find solutions that match our customers’ requirements 
• develop new solution concepts, always from a customer-centric starting point 
• develop and maintain quantitative tools supporting these work processes  
• maintain an up-to-date view of the regulatory situation in the UK and German energy markets with a special focus on financial consequences for decentral energy solutions. 

 You’ll work as part of a project team consisting of customer fronting sales managers, technically focused electrical and thermal engineers and project engineers who manage implementation of projects. You must therefore feel comfortable interacting with a diverse team who has the common aim of always addressing the customer’s needs and ultimately closing the sale.   

Your competences include that you 

• have a degree in a quantitative science (e.g. mathematics, data science, finance, economics, relevant engineering area or other natural sciences)  
• have a high affinity for data models and quantitative analysis 
• have uncompromising customer centricity, always focusing on finding the sellable solution which solves the customer’s problem 
• are well-versed in energy regulation relevant to decentral energy solutions in the UK and Germany. 
• speak and write English fluently. Knowledge of German language is a further advantage but not a requirement.  

 In addition, you must have a strong business understanding and preferably you have experience working with project finance, decentral energy solutions or perhaps other energy topics for larger industrial sites. You have a good understanding of the composition of energy costs for industrials (pure commodity costs, tariffs, levies, grid costs, transmission costs, taxes etc).
