Key responsibilities

To provide a channel for engagement & collaboration between Maersk Line (ML) and Maersk T&L Information Security, this includes informing ML of the security services, applying those services to determine gaps in the ML’s security posture and report into T&L Information Security.

• Accountable for the consistent and thorough application of security policies, standards and processes across ML by collaboration with the Risk & Control capability

• Responsible for embedding the principles and agenda of the Information Security function as a global entity throughout ML

• Responsible for ensuring ML appropriately utilises the security services available to it and that any feedback related to the service is provided to Information Security colleagues

• Responsible for Information Security initiatives being properly aligned to the ML’s objectives and goals

• Accountable for keeping ML leadership informed of the Information Security posture through the provision of key metrics and reporting that accurately reflect the Information Security risk landscape

• Responsible for disseminating threat intelligence to contacts within ML

• Responsible for embedding information training & awareness created centrally within ML

We are looking for

A vacancy exists for an Information Security Brand Engagement Officer within Maersk Transport & Logistics. The successful candidate will be accountable for ML achieving and maintaining Information Security objectives, standards, awareness and compliance, as defined by the business.

The role will involve:

• Leading ML to follow the guiding principles of Maersk T&L Information Security as a whole, as outlined in policy

• Acting as the single point of contact within the brand for visibility and control of Information Security risks

• Managing and evaluating the risk profile and risk appetite of the brand in collaboration with Information Security colleagues

• Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure secure brand project delivery by increasing awareness and understanding of potential Information Security threats within the brand

• Driving strategic Information Security agenda so that the brand has sufficient support to meet its security needs and goals 

• Developing a collaborative relationship with other brands to provide support and consistency across the whole of Maersk T&L

• Driving compliance requirements for security controls within the brand

• Guiding improvement activities according to the defined risk appetite of the brand and the business

• Managing the brand-relevant strategic risks of T&L as per the applicable threat landscape

• Acting as the Information Security representative for the brand, both internally within the business and at external forums and committees 

• Providing insight for brand and business transformation programmes from an Information Security perspective

• Acting as the escalation point for any SLA breaches or quality issues that may be identified

• Overseeing non-technological Information Security incident investigations specific to the brand and liaising with key business stakeholders to close-out these incidents

• Owning the business relationships on behalf of Information Security

Required experience & skills

• Security certification/accreditation is highly desirable

• Significant experience of managing risk within a global and similar size business

• Good functional knowledge of end-to-end risk and continuity policies, procedures and controls

• Being able to demonstrate how information risk and business continuity management can support the core business and the potential return on investment

• Proven ability to work and effectively prioritize in a dynamic and decentralized work environment

• This role is likely to have a significant travel component

- Based: In Copenhagen, Denmark 

Personal profile

• Exceptional communication and influencing skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the business

• Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities

• As this role may be remote from the Information Security team, self-starting and self-confidence are a must

• Excellent planning and organisational skills

• Being able to articulate the risks in a language that the business understands, aligned with local cultural aspects

• Adaptable to different cultures and able to cope with uncertainty

• Must be highly reliable, trustworthy, honest, and commitment-oriented

• Language skills desirable
