Join our vibrant HQ distribution centre
At our HQ in Bjerringbro, you will join our Distribution Centre, which is a part of our larger European distribution organization.
Here, you will work alongside 12 operationally experienced colleagues in Order Execution Denmark; 8 sales assistants, 2 sales controllers and 1 team lead who form the link between our sales and distribution teams. Specifically, we assist sales teams with overseas distribution, primarily within Africa, South America and the Middle East, so you can expect daily contact with colleagues in Dubai, Brazil and Kenya.
Divide your time between supply chain development and daily operations
Collaborating with our team lead, who is also focused on optimising our processes, you will analyse our KPIs and end-to-end supply chain to come up with ways to optimise our work.
The strategic direction is set at group level, so you will focus on the operational level. Some of your improvements will be implemented locally while others will be implemented throughout our European shipping organisation. You will take the role of project manager of some of the optimisation projects you instigate, while others will be run by your teammates.
In order to familiarize yourself with our systems, processes and customers, you will initially focus on our daily operations. However, once you have been thoroughly introduced to all facets of our daily operations, you will divide your time evenly between daily operations and development.
Specifically, you will:
- Follow up on KPIs and analysis of reasons for low performance throughout the chain, including distribution centre and delivery performance as well as sales performance
- Analyse and bring forward suggestions for improvement of specific issues and processes in the interaction with sales and end-customers as well as the department
- Improve flow in administrative processes, including process lead time reduction, implement changes and ensure anchoring
- Create different scenarios including cost/benefit analysis and risk management for proposed changes to current set-up
- Drive daily order handling tasks on chosen sales companies and act as back-up for order handlers when necessary
- Participate in projects in cooperation with other functions (e.g. Group SCM, Production, Procurement, shipping) as well as internally in the Supply Chain function
We see data, you see optimisation potential
We are looking for a colleague who can mould masses of supply chain data into power pivots that pave the way for process optimisation. You probably have a bachelor's or master's degree in logistics or a similar field, but that's not a given. As long as you are self-driven to the bone and can delve into our KPIs, plunge into our data and come up with suggestions for optimisation projects.
Perhaps you already have a couple of years' hands-on experience with logistics, perhaps you don't - we'll know when we meet you. What we do know for sure is that:
- You have a good understanding of the end-to-end supply chain
- You are an Excel super user - familiarity with SAP is an advantage
- You speak and write English fluently - while it's a plus if you speak Danish, it's not a must
