Then join Vestas Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Engineering & Support team. Global Service / Global Technical- & Operational Support / WTG Engineering & Support / WTG Engineering & Support EMEA North Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Engineering & Support EMEA North is a sub department of WTG Engineering & Support - Global, who is supporting the Service departments, Construction departments and local Sales across the world with technical knowledge, and acting as the link between R&D and their local business units. WTG Engineering & Support EMEA North consists of 17 people all located in Videbaek, Denmark. The main areas of support are Electrical (generator converter, control system), Mechanical (gearboxes, yaw, hydraulic, lubricants), and Software. The main tasks for the department includes: providing direct phone support to service technicians in troubleshooting and repair, evaluating damage on main components, remote software upload, providing answers to technical questions internally and externally, and taking part in customer meetings and seminars. Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Manager for WTG Engineering & Support EMEA North you will be part of a highly experienced and dedicated team. Together we take leadership for implementing Vestas' strategy, supporting the Service and Construction organizations and local business units with technical knowledge, securing customer focus and safety. Your key responsibilities will include to: Be the link between WTG Engineering & Support EMEA North and Technology R&D. Follow-up on the technical part of electrically related jobs with focus on turbine performance. Provide timely and correct responses and support to the Service and Construction organizations. Answer requests and emails, and handle failure reports from Service technicians. Prepare Technical Customer reports, and present Technical matters at customer meetings. Execute remote Software upload project. Ensure that technical knowledge is shared within the Team. Qualifications A relevant technical education, such as Engineer, preferably Electrical, or strong experience within Vestas technical department Working experience from the wind industry is preferred. Solid knowledge of electrical systems. Knowledge of wind turbine software and Vestas turbines in particular is preferred. Competencies You possess strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
