Vestas is currently looking to recruit a VB.NET Programmer / Developer to join our Value Capture Models team. We want you to utilise your expert skills in Visual Basics and .NET programming and be the bridge between IT and Business. Technology & Service Solutions - Product Management - Value Capture Models Technology & Service Solution sits at the heart of Vestas' product development; the Value Capture department is a small team that sits within Product Management with a broad responsibility around the key tools that Vestas uses for the evaluation of products and project opportunities in the market. These tools have a very high business impact and are used widely though-out the Sales, Finance and Service areas. They are tightly integrated into both Vestas' core SAP solution, and also many of the specialised data sources and applications that play a part in Vestas' IT landscape. This is a unique team made up of cross functional multi-national experts in finance, business, systems and product knowledge, and works in close collaboration with many business stakeholders and IT experts, and plays a key role in guiding and implementing system innovation and development Responsibilities: You will be engaged with a number of advanced technical and financial calculation models. The role's primary responsibilities include the ongoing development and enhancement of existing application framework and interfaces, including 3rd line support to the business. You will provide guidance and best practice for programming within the team, and aid in the maintenance of solution technical and user documentation material for the business. You will need to develop a strong collaboration with other IT experts in the organisation and maintain operation of system interfaces. Qualifications: Candidates will be expected to have had a minimum of 5 years programming experience in a business environment Experience with large project execution and software implementation Computer Science degree or equivalent Competencies: We are looking for a very skilled, intelligent problem solver who is very motivated by programming, always open to new challenges, and seeks to get things done with a high level of quality and commitment to improvement. We work with a broad range of technical solutions, but a proven foundation in the .NET framework is key, along with being comfortable in VB. Experience with SQL and inside-out knowledge of Excel is needed. Experience in Web development and Java are a bonus, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn new concepts, and not being afraid of working hard can make up for a certain lack of experience Must be fully comfortable working in English.
