As User Experience Professional you will play an important role in the development of new, innovative ways of treating people with skin diseases. You will be the one to provide understanding of user experiences and needs – and by that help us to develop products that will be of maximum value for the users in order to increase their quality of life.

 

Plan and carry out studies and translate user needs into product requirements

You will join a development team of Designers and Engineers that merge technology and usability to develop innovative solutions within packaging, devices and digital health. Founded on your anthropological approach your focus is to provide user understanding and turn it into tangible needs and requirements for design and product features. Your primary tasks will be to:

• Plan and carry out studies to gain insights on user experience and needs
• Translate user insights into tangible requirements for design and usability features
• Plan and carry out tests of solutions/prototypes within user groups 
• Deliver input to idea development across design and product functionality
• Keep up to date on relevant methods and studies – and share own knowledge

You will naturally work closely together with your team colleagues but at the same time you will interact with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation as well as external partners and vendors. You will also share knowledge with other anthropologists across LEO.

 

Anthropological understanding and experience from user driven innovation

You have a degree at minimum Master’s level within Anthropology, Usability Engineering, Interaction/Industrial Design or similar. This is backed by experience from working with user driven innovation with a technology aspect. As such, you are capable of gathering user insights and translating those into specifications/requirements that your engineering colleagues can use in their development of design and product features. As part of this, you can work across qualitative and quantitative methodology and facilitate interviews, focus groups, questionnaires etc.

Your business understanding enables you to prioritise in order to provide knowledge with best chances of being of value in development of solutions and products – our success is measured on our pipeline. You thrive in an outgoing role and you have the communication and interpersonal skills to make your agenda prioritised across various stakeholder groups, in written and spoken English. Additionally, you are comfortable in being trusted with a major responsibility to deliver as the team’s only member within your field of expertise.

 About Design & Connectivity – your new team

You will join 5 highly skilled R&D professionals within the Devices area. We develop innovative solutions within devices, digital health and packaging (primary & secondary) to both users and caregivers. We work systematically with innovation and base our processes on design thinking and systems engineering – experimentation and early testing is our foundation.

We work in an informal environment characterised by a common drive for making a significant difference for people with skin diseases. We are based at the LEO headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen.
