Assist in building a more sustainable future

In Environmental Operations and Innovation we ensure that the LEGO Group fulfills its ‘Planet Promise’ – creating positive impact on the planet by achieving the highest possible environmental performance through a commercial logic. Leveraging commercial advantage and driving innovation across the business, the team addresses the entire value chain: from the impact of raw materials through manufacture of products, distribution, use, and onto eventual reuse or recycling. Joining the Environmental Operations and Innovation team, you will:

• Assist in strategic projects, e.g. products portfolio evaluation

• Develop meeting programs and visits, and prepare presentations and key messages

• Carry out sustainability assessments on day-to-day enquiries

• Collect, analyze and report environmental data

• Provide general support to the team

The Environmental Operations and Innovation team is part of the Environmental Responsibility department. We are a global team of functional experts and thought leaders that create real impact inside and outside the LEGO Group.

Practically, you will be based in Billund and work a minimum of 15 hours a week, or full time for a semester if possible. We are flexible regarding your schedule and exams, and we have a carpooling system that you can use if applicable.

Environmental understanding and great communication skills

One student worker role focuses on environmental data management, reporting and analysis. In this role you must be proficient in Excel. The second role focuses on in-depth sustainability research, where technical and environmental knowledge is preferred.

To succeed in this job, you must have a personal drive to get things done to the highest possible quality combined with a great attention to detail. You are open to working across cultures and passionate on sustainability.

Moreover, you:

• Are currently studying a MSc in Engineering, Environmental and Resource Management, Economics and Business Administration or similar with 1-2 years left before graduation (2 years is preferable)

• Have experience with, and a flair, for creating PowerPoint presentations, writing research report and working with Excel spreadsheets.

• Have a structured and analytical approach to tasks and are curious about new sustainability topics.

• Have great communication skills – especially in writing in both Danish and English
