Would you like to take up the challenge of managing high-voltage cabling to ensure our grid connection? Join us and become Team Lead for our high voltage export cable engineers in our High Voltage Cables department. We are responsible for supply, termination, onshore installation and hand-over to Operations & Maintenance of all high voltage cabling related to our offshore wind farms. This includes cables at voltage levels of 132 - 400 kV. High Voltage Cables is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling in Northern Europe in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Team Lead for the High Voltage Export Cable Team, you are responsible for managing both the engineers and the technical solutions of high voltage and extra high voltage cabling related to our offshore wind farms. You are part of the management team for High Voltage Cables together with the head of the department, two of your team lead colleagues and the department's Principal Specialist. You advise and assist the team members on various topics and relate to the key tasks of the team, which are to plan, execute and follow up on projects, including managing subcontractors and consultants. You are also heavily involved in projects, taking care of the export cable deliverables. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: - cooperate closely with your colleagues based at different locations in Northern Europe - be co-responsible for performing tasks related to the grid connection of our offshore wind farms - define and witness tests of cable systems - handle the interface between the export cable team and other departments as well as other teams in High Voltage Cables - establish common cable design guidelines and participate in knowledge sharing and technical reviews to support our ISO 9001 process. Your profile You hold an engineering degree in electrical engineering or similar combined with extensive experience within high voltage cable engineering. Preferably, you have some operational and maintenance experience combined with practical knowledge of cable design for both offshore and onshore high voltage cables. It is essential that you have relevant experience and knowledge of relevant legislative requirements, codes, standards and industry practice related to onshore and offshore high voltage cable engineering. You are a good communicator with solid negotiation skills who can handle both communication with many stakeholders and negotiate at many different levels. Moreover, you speak and write English fluently, enabling you to operate efficiently in an international environment. Taking a practical and commercial approach to your work, you possess the perseverance to execute on assignments. As a person, you are open-minded with a positive approach to your colleagues and external partners. Finally, you are motivated, proactive and able to actively contribute to and manage the team.
