Do you want to help establish a global footprint within the commercial activities at the international market leader within sustainable indoor living?

Join the the NPR (non product related) organisation at the VELUX Group in Kolding for a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and the possibility of using some of your theoretical skills in practice.

Your challenges

You will join the department of Global NPR Procurement which holds the strategic commercial responsibility and has the purpose of improving the overall non-product-related cost base within the VELUX Group. This involves procurement activities within areas such as consultancy services, facility management, human resources and others.

We have recently initiated an exciting development journey, and as our new student assistant, you will have a key role in this process:

Right now, we are strengthening our data-driven efforts to further professionalise our NPR procurement activities. By carrying out data analyses and controlling, you help us challenge the status quo and provide us with highly important input for the business,” explains Rasmus Kjærsgaard Nielsen, NPR Business Developer, Global NPR Procurement, who you report to.

Through close collaboration with the NPR Procurement organisation, you will:

• Build and analyse KPI reports to facilitate qualified decision-making
• Create spend and savings-related reports for procurement activities, for example contract negotiations, projects and more
• Support our category managers and lead buyers in the use of analytics tools and Business Intelligence (SAP) – we will train you in the tools first
• Perform registration, controlling and validate savings reports
• Perform analytical ad hoc tasks upon request or on your own initiative
• Support the NPR Business Developer at data presentation

You will work 10-15 hours per week within regular office hours, placed in Kolding. We are flexible in terms of scheduling your hours, especially during your exam periods.

Your qualifications

As a person, you are patient, thrive in an outgoing role supporting and training your colleagues in our tools and feel that finding the right formula really makes your day. Moreover, you are a fast learner with an analytic mindset, allowing you to absorb yourself in data, and you are able to translate large amounts of data into digestible information.

Furthermore, you:

• Are studying for a degree within supply chain management, business controlling, business development, business intelligence or similar, and you have at least 1 year left of your studies
• Are a superuser in Microsoft Excel, and you have an interest in learning more about general Business Intelligence tools such as SAP, etc.
• Communicate effortlessly in English – both in speech and writing, enabling you to work in an international environment with English as the corporate language
