Student assistant to Operations Commercial, Operation Analysis of Wind Power projects

Join us as our new student assistant in Operation Analysis, and be part of our cross-portfolio function, which serves as a link between our technical and commercial organisation. Operation Analysis is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. Our department is split into two teams. The teams’ primary tasks are to find and consolidate logistics solutions for future wind farms, provide asset managers and Operations with decision support material through quantitative evaluations of various operations and maintenance concepts from a technical and financial perspective, and to validate the input used for our analyses. You will be based in our Gentofte office in the Greater Copenhagen area and work approx. 15 hours per week to be planned according to our needs and your study plan. You will be thoroughly introduced to your tasks and over time have the chance to gain more responsibility and take on other assignments. Areas of responsibility As our student assistant, you support a team of experienced engineers and economists, and you cover a wide range of tasks related to wind power. Furthermore, your key duties are to: •ensure that the newest site information is processed correctly and made available to your colleagues each month •develop templates for frequently made analyses •handle data analysis in connection with assumption validation tasks and present the results •use our simulation tool for logistics analysis projects •perform ad hoc quantitative logistical analyses. Your profile You are finalising your bachelor's degree or are in your first year of your master's degree in logistics, transport or similar. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. You have strong analytical skills, which enable you to quickly grasp and solve complex business problems. In addition, you have great attention to detail to ensure that your results are correct as they are widely used in the organisation. You have extensive knowledge of Excel and know how to use it for complex problem solving. Even better if you have experience with more advanced modelling, such as computer simulation and optimisation of asset operation.
