Join us and become Senior Strategy Associate in our dynamic team of strategists in Denmark’s largest energy downstream business. Support us in planning the future for our complex business. You will be part of an exciting transformation of the energy sector from fossil to clean energy and bring the change to the end user. You will also play an important role in building the right commercial platform for us in an increasingly competitive energy sector across Northern Europe. The department is part of Customers & Markets which has 1,600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We handle the production from our wind farms and oil and gas fields to the energy exchanges and customers in Northern Europe, and we distribute electricity and natural gas to businesses and private customers in Denmark. Additionally, Customers & Markets undertake all sales activities to end-users in the business segment and to private customers. You will be based at our Virum office in the Greater Copenhagen area. Areas of responsibility The position is central in Customers & Markets for which reason CEO interaction is an essential part of the position. Furthermore, it is expected that the successful candidate will eventually transition into a management role in Customers & Markets or elsewhere in the company. You will be engaged in a diverse set of strategic activities across strategic deep dives, corporate-wide strategy development and IPO-related activities. You will work closely with senior executives and the business to deliver strategic insights and transformational decisions. Your key duties will be to: •manage strategic projects (eg business unit strategies, country or segment reviews), often including resources drawn from multiple parts of the organisation •review new business opportunities related to the future energy value chain such as distributed energy, solar power and energy efficiency •support annual strategy process •develop and increase the strategic skill set in the department and Customers & Markets in general •make presentations to the CEO. Your profile You have a master’s degree in economics, finance, engineering or a similar education with top grades, combined with relevant industry experience and/or management consulting. In addition, your core competences include being a team player with good relationship skills. You have structured problem-solving skills and a strong analytical approach. You have project management experience and are able to scope and work independently. You have a strong skill set in oral and written communication.
