But now we want to be even better! We’re looking for a dedicated purchaser to our Sourcing Department within Boiler Sales. So, what are you going to do today?

New position within a successful organization
We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser for our small but high impact Sourcing Department. You will report to the Sourcing Manager.

Effective supplier optimization with strategic focus
As part of the sourcing team you will have a crucial role in our team’s success. The Strategic purchaser has a close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to lead and manage a sub-commodity within sourcing.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Lead and manage the sub commodity strategy work within the scope of Boiler Sales, involving Product Group Sourcing, Product Development a.o
• Drive and lead supplier optimization within a sub commodity for Alfa Laval, incl. identify cost savings to support the business unit’s results
• Lead sourcing of new products as part of New Product Development projects in close collaboration with Product Development in the business unit
• Responsible for securing adherence to policy, compliance and for strategies in relation to the supplier base
• Deliver on the defined targets, in overall global sourcing strategy
• Developing negotiation plans and deliver commercial results from suppliers in the sub-commodity
• Accountable for taking the leadership role in securing supply of material for the business unit in case of a constraint-situation, incl. capacity, quality and/or delivery issues
• Sourcing of automation components and instruments 

To be a success in this position you have a strategic focus ensuring leverage and value creation across the Business Unit Boiler Sales and related Product Group.

Team player with persistence and strong know how
We are open to your educational background, but you need a comprehensive understanding about real life sourcing, on operational and strategic level, where you have experience and understand the technical side in sourcing of similar product categories and materials. Preferably you have gained your experience from a similar position in an international production company.
