In the Cooling Segment we are looking for an experienced Electronics & EMS Procurement lead for our sourcing projects to help realise both customer design requests and internally initiated development activities in New Product Development. You will be able to work with innovative products and be part of a global and dynamic team in an organisation offering many opportunities for professional and personal development. The position entails approximately 30 travelling days per year.
 
Play a truly vital role in engineering cooling solutions for tomorrow
With reference to the Regional Head of Procurement, you will be a part of a procurement organisation working with complex sourcing. You will plan and manage projects, and in close collaboration with colleagues and suppliers, you will be supporting our R&D team globally and act as procurement lead. The scope will cover from benchmarking among key EMS partners, supplier selection, prototyping, to final validation of suppliers and ramp up/down planning. Supplier selection, negotiation, contracting and business case development will be your key responsibilities within the sourcing projects. There are long-standing relationships with many of the suppliers, but your focus will also be on constantly ensuring the right portfolio of suppliers through sourcing activities. Further responsibilities include:
 

• Working closely with category managers and project managers to initiate, design and execute projects while ensuring procurement deliverables on time according to the Project milestone plan
• Participate in re-design projects and ensure implementation according to TS16949 requirements (Change Control, PPAP, etc.)
• EMS selection, and setup of the right component supply chain within the project
• Completion of contractual negotiations and contractual agreements within specified limits
• Identifying, visualising and mitigating potential risks for the projects

 
Project Manager with experience in electronics and a will to win
There is more than one way into this position. In-depth experience in procurement within electronics (e.g. EMS, PCB), business acumen and analytical thinking is required. You might hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar; otherwise, you have extensive professional knowledge within the field and your track record shows solid results and achievements.
 
On a more personal note, you will need to be a robust person in the face of sometimes differing stakeholder expectations, and you have experience in mediating this type of situation.
You are driven by seeing results and reaching your goals by overcoming obstacles. You are comfortable with stringent use of global tools and processes, but you are also able to work in a high pace with a proactive mind-set and creative thinking. You are a strong communicator and as a team player, you possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder networks. Finally, you are fluent in both written and spoken English.
