Software developer for large scale IT systems, R&D, Bagsvaerd In Novozymes, our Research and Development (R&D) increasingly see Information Technology (IT) as a strategic enabler. We experience exponential data growth from our research processes and a continuously higher demand for agile and scalable IT solutions to support the R&D processes, our global collaboration as well as data management. To address this, Novozymes is currently significantly strengthening our focus on Bioinformatics and Data Management in R&D, and you would be joining a team that has to deliver significant change to Novozymes. In this position, you will be working directly with your fellow R&D research colleges globally to clarify their functional needs, and you will work in a collaborative environment to establish solutions to serve these needs. Training in our development stack will be part of the job. You will obtain the necessary biology understanding that is needed for your work on the job. You should expect travelling for 1-3 weeks per year dependent on the tasks. If you enjoy working in IT projects in the enterprise context and you enjoy working in a global organization, then you are the perfect person for our team. Worldwide 1200 users within microbiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, biochemistry, use these central IT systems. The exponential data growth demands constant optimizations of the IT setup. Our technology stack is primarily based on Perl and Linux. In this position you need to: Have a Master´s degree within computer science or similar working experience Be experienced in using scripting languages for programming, such as Perl, Python, etc. Want to work on developing the future Biological Data platform for Novozymes Be a skilled developer in the Linux/Open Source environments. Ideally, you have experience with large and/or distributed databases, like PostgreSQL or Hadoop Like to learn new programming languages and new technologies. You are used to working with large amounts of data and taking responsibility for the product you develop in the team Be a quick learner with focus and drive for solving complex problems in a global setting Be fluent in English and you want to learn Danish Are you the next Zymer in our team?
