This is a great opportunity to get involved in a high profile project at The LEGO® Group working in our Business Intelligence team across London and Billund, Denmark Making a difference with Analytics As a SAP Business Objects consultant, you will get the opportunity to apply your skills within the Business intelligence Team and to design and implement BI solutions based on SAP BW and SAP Business Objects tool suite. Our role is to provide the LEGO Group with a modern, agile and reliable Information Management Platform as well as facilitating relationship building and collaboration through modern communication technologies. Looking at the bigger picture As the Senior BI/BO Consultant you will ensure that the development is performed in accordance to LEGO Standard Development Practices and reuse of existing functionality. And ensure that the Business Object server setup and environment is kept healthy and up to date - and review it on a regular basis. In addition you will also participate in prototyping, blueprint, design, implementation, unit test and regression test phases to ensure modularity, reusability and quality of designed and implemented components. However, you will also be the go-to person regarding server setup, upgrades, connectivity, technical issues etc. Your responsibilities Ensuring that we have the right architecture in our overall Business Objects setup you will be required to provide the technical solution to new challenges and new use cases provided by stakeholders. You will also be responsible for coordinating teams of developers both on LEGO’s Off Shore center and external consultancies on site in London and Billund. Participate in projects by completing tasks as assigned by project manager Participate in projects by coordinate resources and tasks as assigned by project manager Provide support in the form of advice and analysis of user/operational issues, and use the analysis to formulate a resolution. Complete change requests in the form of programming alterations or coordination of vendor upgrades. Secure QA on developed objects and functionality and the technical documentation Be the go-to person on ad-hoc technical tasks like upgrades, malfunctions, advise on implementation of new languages, etc. SAP BW Business Objects specialist Design and implement BI solutions based on SAP BW and SAP Business Objects tool suite. Maintain and support existing solutions build in SAP BO in LEGO Challenges and opportunities Get an in-depth understanding of LEGO’s business model, key processes and organization. Get an in-depth understanding of LEGO’s Enterprise Business Intelligence Platform and the technical and architectural setup. To quickly adapt to the current well established Information Management Solutions team – both technically and socially (the culture). The high number of different competencies needed also within a single area as SAP. This is also a learning opportunity.
