Join us and become Senior Contract Manager in CAPEX Procurement, Electrical Systems Contract Management, which is responsible for procurement and contract management of all Capex contracts for HV/MV cables, cable installation, HV/MV comnponents and SCADA systems. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. We are seeking a Senior Contract Manager to drive the development of the supply chain within export cables including planning of procurement strategies, negotiations and strategic collaborations with suppliers. You may choose freely to be based either at one of our Danish offices in either Skærbæk near Fredericia or Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or alternatively at our London office in the United Kingdom on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will be independently responsible for specific procurement processes, and you will cooperate with your colleagues on strategic procurement in relation to complex procurement activities, which are critical for our projects. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •underpin business activities by contributing with your expertise on procurement strategies •handle strategic partnerships, tendering, negotiation, contract management •manage cost-out initiatives •handle complex and major contracts with values above EUR 100m. You have solid skills in the above areas, and you are able to cooperate efficiently with colleagues from other in-house functions, eg in relation to engineering, legal, financial and health & safety matters. Moreover, you will have a proactive approach to your tasks that you manage and complete in a competent manner. You will have a structured and analytical approach to your work, enabling you to manoeuvre and deliver business-critical projects successfully. Together with your colleagues in the department, you will be part of the front line when we execute our business strategy and pursue our ambitious targets to reduce the cost of energy. You will join a department with a strong professional environment of more than 100 committed colleagues based either in Denmark or abroad. Your profile You will have a cross-disciplinary background (as a minimum a BSc or MSc in either economics, law or engineering. Furthermore, you will have extensive years of experience with procurement or sales, tenders and contract management, preferably with experience with supply of subsea-cables or from other wind farm related procurement activities. It is essential that you have knowledge of supply contracts and/or construction contracts, preferably FIDIC and EPC projects. In addition, you will be able to document excellent negotiation skills. Preferably, you also have knowledge of sourcing and procurement directives, or you are prepared to participate in intensive training.
