Description Are you an experienced Purchaser and are you ready to lead key initiatives in Vestas Global Sourcing? Do you have strong negotiations skills and can you develop negotiations strategies strengthening supplier relationship and providing best value to Vestas? Then you might be the new member of the Castings category team Manufacturing & Global Sourcing / Towers, Castings & Raw Materials / Castings & Mainshaft Vestas Global Sourcing is overall responsible for all supply chain management activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including Leading Cross Functional Category Teams, negotiations, initiatives to improve the total cost, Category Strategy Development and Implementation, quality and delivery performance, supplier relationship management and Supplier Account Management. The category for which the Purchaser is needed is Castings. This Area consists of app 10 main suppliers with a 3 digit million EUR Spend per year. Responsibilities: You will lead key initiatives in Global Sourcing focused on supply chain optimization. Working closely with the Category Team and key stakeholders you will: Optimization of the current supply base to ensure Best in Class Performance and Supply Chain Setup, driving best total cost and best delivery and quality performance Become a dedicated part of the Category Team, working across different business units within Vestas and providing input to and implementation of the category strategies Drive continuous improvement programs both internally and at the suppliers with special focus on total cost saving initiatives, supplier optimization and component standardization Ensure adherence to KPI’s set by Global Sourcing in regards to safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation and sustainability Participate in selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting with the assigned suppliers within the category Qualifications: Relevant educational background with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering and minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing Competencies: You are well-organized, self-motivated professional, result oriented and able to operate successfully in a changing and challenging working environment You have strong negotiations skills, able to develop negotiations strategies, strengthening supplier relationship and providing best value to Vestas You have an open approach to encourage stakeholder inputs and a structured and fact-based approach to secure that ideas are prioritized and implemented You are a team player with strong collaboration skills and able to secure the cross-functional support and bringing the initiatives to successful implementation Furthermore, we are looking for a profile who has/is: A holistic and positive mindset, able to see the big picture and set strategic direction A strong analytical, structured and fact based mindset Proactive approach and not afraid to look for new solutions and innovative approach Excellent communication skills including fluent English skills (both orally and in writing) Strong computer skills (PPT, Excel & Word) What we offer: We offer you an exciting and challenging job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development within the leading company in wind energy.
