That’s why we are building a new Digital Solutions Office in Valby, Denmark, and Chennai, India, where we are hiring for multiple new positions. Detailed Description

Drive brand-new IoT initiatives into state-of-the-art digital applications

 In the newly established Digital Solutions Office, we are building a new digital framework by establishing a cloud infrastructure that can collect data and create insights on FLSmidth’s plants and equipment across the world. This will subsequently enable us to offer valuable new solutions to our customers – such as maintenance management, condition monitoring, predicative analytics and plant performance management systems.

 You will join one other project manager currently driving the projects building our digital foundation. As our new project manager, you will primarily manage our new digital applications projects. This could be projects establishing application frameworks or developing end products. You will work closely with the program manager, IoT architect, the Development team, vendors and partners to ensure that the digital projects are completed within defined deadlines and budgets. Moreover, you will:

 •             Define the plan, road map, business case, ROI expectations, success metrics and criteria for the projects in coordination with the program manager and the DSO management team in the initiating phase

 •             Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan across all dependent projects

 •             Collaborate and negotiate contracts with external partners and suppliers

 •             Define and validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures

 •             Assess and monitor project risks and determine mitigation strategies

 •             Continuously assess and improve the project processes that comprise the project software lifecycle and ensure they are aligned with overall Digital Solution Office standards

  You can choose to work from Valby, Denmark, together with your project manager colleague, or from Chennai, India, and you can expect 30-40 travel days a year to meet with team colleagues. However, if you work from Chennai, you can expect extra travel days to Denmark.

Job Requirements

 Technical project manager with strong collaboration skills

•             You have solid experience in managing large IT application/solution projects. Experience with developing IoT technologies for manufacturing/industrial automation is a great advantage, but not a must.

 •             You have a relevant technical degree – at bachelor’s level as a minimum.

 •             You have excellent communication skills in English in both speech and writing.

 •             It would be an advantage if you know industrial Azure Cloud or similar technologies, machine learning, microservices, DevOps and AI to understand the project technicalities.

 •             It would be a plus, if you have a Prince2 or PMP certification.
